The Medina Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Wilson on the road and fell 62-29. Medina was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-15.
Leading Wilson to victory were Peyton McInnis and Rian Faery. McInnis scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Faery almost dropped a triple-double on 12 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists. Faery is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Another player making a difference was Bella Thrush, who scored seven points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Medina bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Wilson, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Medina will take on Newfane at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Wilson, they will be playing at home against Starpoint at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
