For the first time this season, Legend will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Pine Creek Eagles at 7:00 p.m. Legend has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 132 points over their last three contests.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Legend and Castle View had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 55-13 win over the Sabercats. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-6.
Dj Bordeaux had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 201 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 68 yards and one TD. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 50 yards. Ryken Banks was another key player, gaining 90 total yards and two touchdowns.
Legend's run defense was locked in: Castle View could only muster 3.5 yards per carry. The team can thank Carter Berard for the heroic effort on defense: he. That's the most yards per carry they've managed all season.

Legend's defense also made the game a nightmare for the opposing QB, racking up seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Braylon Aukland and Kellen Brown, who racked up four sacks between them. Aukland is also crushing it when it comes to total tackles: he's made at least five every time he's taken the field this season. Legend got some further help from Derek Neuenschwander: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made six total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, Pine Creek faced Cherry Creek in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Eagles had to suffer through a 42-0 loss at the hands of the Bruins. The Eagles were red-hot offensively heading into the contest (they scored no less than 31 points in the three matchups prior), but the Bruins' defense proved too tough.
With the defeat, Pine Creek broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2. As for Legend, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Legend strolled past Pine Creek in their previous meeting back in October of 2024 by a score of 24-7. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
