They were beaten by the Hilltoppers 55-27. Crothersville's loss continues an unfortunate trend for the squad, making it four in a row.
Crothersville's loss came despite strong showings from Brooklyn Bottorff and Hayden Pilgram. Bottorff scored seven points, while Pilgram scored seven points.
Crothersville has not been sharp recently as the team's lost 12 of their last 13 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-18 record this season. As for Shawe Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 9-12.
Crothersville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shawe Memorial is on the road again on Friday and plays the Shiners at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Rising Sun is ranked 299th, while the Hilltoppers are ranked 288th).
