Englewood Stem has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Kenwood Broncos at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Englewood Stem will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while Kenwood is ranked 28th).
Englewood Stem suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They were beaten by Curie 86-44.
Meanwhile, even though Chicago Mt. Carmel scored an imposing 70 points on Saturday, Kenwood still came out on top. Kenwood took their matchup against Chicago Mt. Carmel 82-70. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kenwood.
Christopher Riddle continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 31 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Aleks Alston, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds.
Englewood Stem has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Kenwood, their win bumped their record up to 14-6.
