After a string of three wins, the Greendale Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell to Martin Luther 60-54. Greendale has struggled against Martin Luther recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Greendale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Peyton Yoder, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Giselle Paszkiewcz, who scored 11 points along with three blocks.
Greendale's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Martin Luther, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greendale will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on West Allis Central at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Martin Luther will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against New Berlin West at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday. New Berlin West is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
