The New Washington Mustangs will be home for the holidays to greet the Trinity Lutheran Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Washington is out to stop a five-game streak of losses at home.
On Tuesday, New Washington beat Switzerland County 47-39. The victory was just what New Washington needed coming off of a 67-26 defeat in their prior game.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Trinity Lutheran ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They secured a 59-53 W over North Harrison.
Trinity Lutheran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Marley Warren, who scored 19 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which Warren has scored at least 25% of Trinity Lutheran's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Keith, who scored 16 points.
New Washington's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Trinity Lutheran, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
