Granby Memorial and Windsor Locks are an even 5-5 against one another since February of 2016, but not for long. The Granby Memorial Bears will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against the Windsor Locks Raiders at 5:30 p.m.
Granby Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 51-43 to Somers.
Meanwhile, Windsor Locks didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against East Granby on Thursday, but they still walked away with a 26-22 victory. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Windsor Locks has scored all season.
Windsor Locks found their leader in underclassman Navya Singh, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Singh pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Hurdle, who scored four points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Granby Memorial's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-3. As for Windsor Locks, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.
Granby Memorial didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Windsor Locks in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-38 win.
