Butler had no answer to Kaylee Carson on Friday as she scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. As if that's not impressive enough, the game was her third in a row with two or more steals. For the year, Carson has averaged 16.3 points and 3.3 steals per match.
Carson and Independence will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on January 30th. Carson hasn't had any trouble running up the score (she's averaged 16.3 per game this season), but it's looking like she'll have her work cut out for her against Charlotte Catholic's dominant defense.
