Everything went their way against the Summit Academy Bears as they made off with a 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine games by six runs or more so far this season.
Elijah Aulava was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Dawson Moore was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, three RBI, and two doubles. He has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Tre Asisi, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with two RBI and one run.
Provo always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Summit Academy only posted an OBP of .269.
Provo's record is now 18-7. As for Summit Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 16 of their last 17 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-21 record this season.
