Putnam has struggled against Lyman Memorial recently, as their game on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Lyman Memorial's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jenny Lopez, who scored 19 points along with six assists and four steals. Lopez is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Phoebe Carpenter, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds.
Putnam dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lyman Memorial, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
