The Lakewood Leopards scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hobbton 59-19 at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Lakewood as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Among those leading the charge was Alexis Rhodes, who scored 18 points. It was the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Honestee William, who scored nine points along with four steals.
Lakewood's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Hobbton, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-18.
Lakewood will take on Neuse Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lakewood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Hobbton, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Union at 6:00 p.m. Union will roll in looking for their sixth straight win, something Hobbton surely won't give up without a fight.
