The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in New Mexico (Hope Christian is ranked 91st, while Los Alamos is ranked 77th).
Last Saturday, the stars were shining brightly for Hope Christian in a 44-27 win over Cibola. The win was just what Hope Christian needed coming off of a 57-26 defeat in their prior matchup.
Hope Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mia Bishop, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 15 rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Zo? Mangrum was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Los Alamos' 20-8 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They were the victim of a rough 56-33 defeat at the hands of Valencia two weeks ago. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Los Alamos has scored all season.
Hope Christian's win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5. As for Los Alamos, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.
