Calvary Christian Academy were the 57-55 winner over the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams when they last played one another back in February of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Calvary Christian Academy took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Turkeyfoot Valley Area on Tuesday.
Leading Turkeyfoot Valley Area to victory were Kiley Mitchell and Maleigha Younkin. Mitchell scored 13 points along with 8 rebounds, while Younkin dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Calvary Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northern at 5:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Meyersdale at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
