Torrington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Haley Burger, who scored ten points along with two steals. Lilah Boulli was another key contributor, scoring six points along with ten rebounds and two steals.
Torrington's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Seymour, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.
Torrington will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Seymour, they will head out on the road to face off against St. Paul Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Paul Catholic will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
