The Apopka Christian Academy Lions suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-25 loss at the hands of Bridge to Independence. Apopka Christian Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured three losses in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bridge to Independence to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jaydan Jeantinord, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 15 rebounds. Jeantinord is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last six games he's played. Brock D'Alessandro was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 13 assists.
Apopka Christian Academy's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.7 points per game. As for Bridge to Independence, their victory bumped their record up to 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Apopka Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face BOLCA Prep at 7:00 p.m. on January 22nd. One thing working in BOLCA Prep's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 15 matchups. As for Bridge to Independence, they will head out on the road to face off against Halifax Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
