With a playoff game on the line, the Emmett Huskies rose to the challenge on Friday. They slipped by Minico 34-33. The win was nothing new for Emmett as they're now sitting on three straight.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Emmett to victory, but perhaps none more so than Quentin Smith, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns. Smith's longest rush was for an incredible 83 yards. Isaac Brennan also helped out as he racked up 165 rushing yards.
Emmett pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.0 points per game. As for Minico, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.
Emmett will take on Bishop Kelly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bishop Kelly has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 473 points over their last ten matches. Minico does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
