The Sterling Rangers were the 65-29 winner over the Ball Tornadoes when they last played one another back in January of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. The matchup between the two teams wasn't particularly close, with Sterling falling 53-38.
Leading Ball to victory were Kalyn Toussaint and Braeon Arceneaux. Toussaint scored 22 points along with five assists and four steals, while Arceneaux scored 24 points along with six steals. The matchup was Toussaint's 15th in a row with at least ten points.
Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Ball, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-8.
Sterling will be playing at home against Barbers Hill at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Ball and Van Vleck will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday at. Van Vleck has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
