Commonwealth had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 12-46 walloping at Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy hands.
No one had a larger role in the success than senior Elijah Christian, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Commonwealth off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy a 1-0 record.
Next week, Commonwealth take on Victory Christian Center . As for Winston-Salem Preparatory Academy, they will face of against Walkertown.
