The Westside Rams can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 52-28 margin over Easley. The win was nothing new for Westside as they're now sitting on three straight.
Westside found their leader in underclassman Makyhia Paul, who scored 14 points along with four steals. Paul has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Ahrianna Scott, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Easley's loss came despite strong showings from Olivia Gramblin and Abbi Vite. Gramblin scored 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Vite scored seven points. The team also got some help courtesy of Meya Mckinney, who scored three points along with five assists.
Westside pushed their record up to 12-3 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points per game. As for Easley, they have fallen quite a ways from their 18-7 record last season and are now at 6-10.
Westside won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Butler at 3:30 p.m. on January 13th. Butler will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 98th in Georgia, while Westside is ranked 13th in South Carolina). As for Easley, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
