The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Max S. Hayes in their matchups with East Tech: they've now lost six in a row.
East Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Chris Simon out in front who scored 19 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Lawrence, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Max S. Hayes' loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-12. As for East Tech, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.
Max S. Hayes will head out on the road to square off against Clearview at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Tech, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cleveland Central Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on February 7th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Ohio (Cleveland Central Catholic is ranked 333rd, while East Tech is ranked 326th).
