Wesson put another one in the bag  on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They came out on top against the Florence Eagles by a score of  5-1. For the Cobras, this counts as revenge for the   11-6 win the Eagles walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2024.
 Maddie Sanders made a big impact no matter where she played. She  pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk any time she's  pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI and one  double.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kenslie Carter, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-3.
Wesson's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Florence,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wesson will face off against Loyd Star at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Florence, they are taking a road trip to  challenge Pisgah  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
