Volleyball Recap: Brownell Talbot Gets the Win

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Brownell Talbot and Boys Town have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Raiders came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 two weeks ago.

The 2-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Brownell Talbot was: they took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-12.

Quinn Iverson paced Brownell Talbot's offense, picking up 17 kills. Iverson got some help from Becky Hoban and her 20 assists. Nya Ping controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Brownell Talbot's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Boys Town, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Brownell Talbot will challenge Weeping Water at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Boys Town, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Yutan on the 11th.
