The Evansville North Huskies lost against the Castle Knights back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Evansville North fell just short of Castle by a score of 55-52. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Evansville North in their matchups with Castle: they've now lost six in a row.
Several Huskies players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Libby Blythe, who scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds. Blythe scored a full 28.8% of Evansville North's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Vanessa Nankwenya was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 10 assists.
Evansville North's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Castle, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Evansville North's homestand continues as they prepare to take on New Albany at 12:00 p.m. on November 25th. Castle will take on Owensboro Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
