It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Tyngsborough Tigers can now relate to. Their rough 33-7 loss to Uxbridge on Friday might stick with them for a while. The low total for Tyngsborough limited their streak of high-flying scores to three in a row.
When it comes to explaining why Tyngsborough lost, one person who can't be blamed is Bryce Goulet. Despite the final result, he rushed for 50 yards and a touchdown.
Tyngsborough's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 7-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.7 points per game. As for Uxbridge, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Tyngsborough will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Groton-Dunstable at 10:00 a.m. on November 23rd. Groton-Dunstable will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Tyngsborough is ranked 100th). As for Uxbridge, they will take on Clinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Clinton is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
