Fans got a thrill when Jack Bueltel and Tyler Brecher connected against Carrollwood Day. The longest such play in 2A District 6 this season, the connection resulted in 76 yards.
First Baptist Academy added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating the Patriots, 20-0. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Lions.
Chritian Rodriguez of the First Baptist Academy is only 6 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 124 carries Rodriguez has put up 994 yards this year.
Billy Sparacio's team scaled the state rankings by moving to 222 from 267 this week, the biggest jump in the league. The Lions were able to move up by defeating Carrollwood Day 20-0.
