Adena has played every game this season on their home court, but they'll have to hit the road on Friday. They will challenge the Unioto Shermans at 7:15 p.m. Unioto took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Adena, who comes in off a win.
Last Saturday, Adena escaped with a win against Piketon by the margin of a single free throw, 54-53.
Adena's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas King led the charge by dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds. The matchup was King's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Joedy Ater, who scored 12 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Unioto, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Fairland on Sunday. Unioto has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Adena's win lifted them to 2-1 while Piketon's defeat dropped them down to 0-3.
Things could have been worse for Adena, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 53-36 loss to Unioto in their previous meeting back in January. Can Adena avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
