Providence Classical will head out on the road to square off against the St. Anne Catholic Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Providence Classical will be strutting in after a victory while the Eagles will be coming in after a defeat.
Even though Walnut Grove Christian scored an imposing 63 points on Tuesday, Providence Classical still came out on top. Providence Classical took their game against the Christian Warriors 72-63.
It was another big night for Xan Rahalawicz, who scored 23 points along with eight steals and seven assists. He hasn't dropped below two steals for 18 straight games. Another player making a difference was Bryson Lahr, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Anne Catholic was beaten by the Knights 70-33 on Friday. St. Anne Catholic has struggled against the Knights recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Providence Classical's victory bumped their record up to 12-7. As for St. Anne Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.
Providence Classical beat the Eagles 51-40 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Providence Classical since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
