Basketball Recap: Yorkville Christian Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Yorkville Christian extended their road winning streak to three games thanks to a huge performance from Jayden Riley. The Yorkville Christian Mustangs couldn't have asked for a better start to 2025 than the 88-46 blowout they got against the Cornerstone Christian Cyclones thanks in part to Riley, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine assists. The contest was his 11th in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Purvis, who went 5 of 7 on his way to 14 points. He is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games.

Yorkville Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.9 points per game. As for Cornerstone Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Yorkville Christian has already played their next game, a 96-69 defeat against Lincoln-Way Central on the 7th. As for Cornerstone Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-42 loss against Tri-Valley on the 7th.
