After losing to the Fideles Christian Rangers the last time they met, the Dominion Christian Knights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Dominion Christian walked away with a 42-34 win over Fideles Christian on Saturday.
Emory Maiyer was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoe Jackson, who scored nine points along with three steals.
Despite the loss, Fideles Christian still got an impressive performance from Laci Harkins, who scored 22 points. That was a full 64.7% of Fideles Christian's points, marking the 15th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Dominion Christian's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Fideles Christian, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dominion Christian will take on Holy Spirit Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fideles Christian, they will be playing at home against Killian Hill Christian at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Killian Hill Christian comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last 15 games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
