Madelyn Barker was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted three strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.
In other batting news, Doddridge County got a massive performance out of Olivia See, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most runs See has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Hadley Ross, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Doddridge County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .760. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .303 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, North Marion fell victim to Morgantown and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Mohigans.
Doddridge County's victory bumped their record up to 23-4. As for North Marion, their loss dropped their record down to 8-13.
