The Community Charter Titans can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They managed a 35-29 victory over Lake Balboa College Prep. The victory was just what Community Charter needed coming off of a 79-46 defeat in their prior matchup.
Community Charter was led to victory by Edem Ladzekpo and Jefferson Barahona. Ladzekpo scored 13 points, while Barahona dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Ladzekpo has scored at least 25% of Community Charter's points.
When it comes to explaining why Lake Balboa College Prep lost, one person who can't be blamed is CHRISTOPHER GARCIA. Despite the final result, he scored 2 points along with 10 steals and 9 rebounds. Another player making a difference was TYRONE NASIBIAN-WINBORN, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Community Charter's win bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Community Charter will be playing in front of their home fans against Orthopaedic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Balboa College Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Panorama at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Panorama focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 on Wednesday.
