While it was all tied up 24-24 at halftime, the George County Rebels were not quite the Greene County Wildcats's equal in the second half on Thursday. George County took a 46-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Greene County. George County was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greene County apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Leading Greene County to victory were Cordarius Molten and Braedon Spivery. Molten scored 12 points along with three steals, while Spivery scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 12 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Tylan Blackston, who scored eight points.
George County has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Greene County, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.
George County will head out on the road to face off against Gautier at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Greene County won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Stone at 3:30 p.m. on December 15th. Hopefully Stone focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.
