Rangeview is 10-0 against the Trojans since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Rangeview Raiders will be playing in front of their home fans against the Aurora Central Trojans at 1:00 p.m. Rangeview will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
Last Wednesday, Rangeview humbled the Wolves with a 81-37 victory. Given Rangeview's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 94th, while the Wolves are ranked 224th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Rangeview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kevin Hernandez led the charge by scoring 17 points along with two blocks. It was the first time this season that Hernandez scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Archie Weatherspoon V, who scored 19 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Aurora Central suffered a tough 64-43 loss at the hands of the Eagles on Thursday. Aurora Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rangeview has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-10 record this season. As for Aurora Central, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8.
Everything came up roses for Rangeview against the Trojans when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 71-38 victory. With Rangeview ahead 40-11 at the half, the game was all but over already.
