The Lake Region Thunder were the 90-75 winner over the Davenport Broncos when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lake Region fell to Davenport 41-35. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Lake Region has scored all season.
Several Thunder players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dwayne Lattimore, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Omari Vega, who scored 12 points.
Lake Region's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Davenport, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Region will challenge Mulberry at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Mulberry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Lake Region likes a good challenge. Davenport on the road again on Friday and play against Ridge Community at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th. Ridge Community is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.1 points per game.
