The Morrison Mustangs will head out to take on the Geneseo Maple Leafs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Morrison is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.2 runs per game this season.
Morrison's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Thursday, when they got past Eastland's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Mustangs blew past the Cougars 15-5. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Cougars: they've now won four in a row.

Ava Duncan spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Elle Milnes was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Scachette, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and three runs.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Morrison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Geneseo suffered their biggest defeat since April 3rd on Friday. They came up short against Rockridge, falling 11-1. The Maple Leafs haven't had much luck with the Rockets recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Penny Kline made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Morrison's win bumped their record up to 13-3. As for Geneseo, their loss dropped their record down to 17-9-1.
Monday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Morrison hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .369. However, it's not like Geneseo struggles in that department as they've averaged .343. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
