King got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 52-42 win over the Alice Coyotes on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Mustangs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The timing isn't great for King: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home dating back to last season, while Flour Bluff has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for Alice, they will face off against Corpus Christi Moody at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. Alice is facing Corpus Christi Moody at the right time seeing as Corpus Christi Moody is stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
