Middlebury hasn't had much luck against Mt. Abraham recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Tigers will head out to take on the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. Middlebury is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 19 runs per game this season.
Middlebury is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 30-1 margin over Rutland on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Lillian Paquette made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Paquette was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 6-for-6 with five stolen bases, five runs, and three RBI. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 3.2 hits per game.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Skyler Choiniere, who went a perfect 6-for-6 with four stolen bases, four runs, and two doubles. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of McKenna Whitney, who went 4-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.
Middlebury was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .762. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .357 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, while Mt. Abraham put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Enosburg Falls. The Eagles came out on top against the Hornets by a score of 5-0. The game was the first time the Eagles have beaten the Hornets on their field since May 14, 2022.
Middlebury's record is now 3-1. As for Mt. Abraham, their record now sits at 5-1.
Middlebury suffered a grim 13-4 defeat to Mt. Abraham in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
