Santaluces scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They lost to the Atlantic Eagles on the road by a 82-65 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), the Chiefs still had to take the loss.

Santaluces' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fabensky Pierrelouis, who went 7 of 10 en route to 14 points and six boards. Geovanni Casteel was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Jonathan Richard was a one-man wrecking crew for Atlantic as he went 10 for 15 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks. Those 26 points gave Richard a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Tillman, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Santaluces and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Atlantic, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.

Santaluces wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-41 victory against Forest Hill on the 14th. Atlantic has also already played their next contest, a 70-55 win against Somerset Prep on the 14th.
