After two weeks on the road, Weehawken is heading back home. They will square off against Saddle Brook at 7:00 PM on Friday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close game.
Weehawken have been struggling to pick up a victory, with their match against Becton last Friday making it four winless games in a row. Weehawken fell to Becton 30-38. A silver lining for Weehawken was the play of senior Rex Fukuda, who rushed for 144 yards and 3 touchdowns. That makes it five straight good games in a row from Fukuda.
Meanwhile, Saddle Brook took a serious blow against Wallington, falling 0-36. Saddle Brook were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-22.
With both teams hitting sour notes in their previous games, they will no doubt be looking to produce a better outcome in this one. We'll see which team satisfies their hunger and which team leaves with an empty stomach.
