Smith Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Virginia City Muckers, falling 20-10. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Smith Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Virginia City, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-4-1.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Virginia City beat Smith Valley by a score of 23-15 later that day.
