The Patterson Tigers won the last time they faced the Summerville Bears, and things went their way on Thursday too. Patterson claimed a resounding 70-39 victory over Summerville at home. With Patterson ahead 41-20 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Patterson's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Nnaji, who scored 14 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Amari Coley, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds.
The win makes it two in a row for Patterson and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Summerville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Patterson will head out on the road to face off against Riverbank at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverbank will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line. Summerville won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Big Valley Christian at 3:30 p.m. on December 1st. Big Valley Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Summerville likes a good challenge.
