Orange extended their winning streak to four on Wednesday, bumping them up to 8-6. They skirted past the Voyager Academy Vikings 10-8. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

J. P. Rodio was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kayden Bradsher, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Allen Flores, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs.
As for Voyager Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss they have suffered since March 10th.
On Voyager Academy's side, Izaiah Ferrell and Cohen Rappleyea did some serious damage despite the final result: Ferrell went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one stolen base, while Rappleyea got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. The Vikings are 4-1 when Rappleyea posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Dylan Haswell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs.
Orange didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 defeat against South Granville on the 7th. As for Voyager Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 10-0 win against Roxboro Community on the 7th.
