After losing to the Ponderosa Mustangs the last time they met, the Lewis-Palmer Rangers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Lewis-Palmer strolled past Ponderosa with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 58-39.
Lewis-Palmer was led to victory by Rylee Edmondson and Kendall Lane. Edmondson scored 24 points, while Lane scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. The game was Edmondson's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Brooke Lordino, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Lewis-Palmer now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Ponderosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Lewis-Palmer will head out on the road to face off against Pueblo County at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Pueblo County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 27 on Saturday. As for Ponderosa, they will take on Grand Junction at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
