Sparta was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  81-58 to the Millburn Millers. The Spartans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Millers apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in February of 2022.
 Leading Millburn to victory were  Chace Redler and  Chase Plotkin.  Redler  went 10 of 20  en route to 29  points and five  boards, while  Plotkin  went 9 for 16  on his way to 26 points and seven  rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which  Redler has scored at least a third of Millburn's points. Another player making a difference was  Quinn Barkley, who  posted eight  points.
Sparta's loss dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Millburn,  the  win made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 11-8.
 Coming up, Sparta will take on West Morris Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Millburn, they will head out to  face off against North Star Academy  at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Millburn has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
