Despite the defeat, Juan Diego Catholic had strong showings from Tevarii Pecqueux, who scored 13 points, and Stockton Young, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pecqueux has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Fenger, who scored four points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
West Jordan's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colton Blackham led the charge by scoring 15 points along with eight assists and two steals. Blackham is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Black, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Juan Diego Catholic's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-8. As for West Jordan, they pushed their record up to 9-10 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Juan Diego Catholic will take on the Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Granger's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three matchups.
