After a string of ten wins, The Hazelwood East Spartans''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 35-14 walloping at the hands of MICDS. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
Brian Gould was his usual excellent self, rushing for 107 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, while also throwing for 203 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Gould was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 64 yards. Another player making a difference was Graham Faust, who picked up 89 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
MICDS's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was Lucas Allgeyer and his two sacks.
Hazelwood East's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for MICDS, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 9-2.
Hazelwood East does not have any more games scheduled as of now. MICDS will square off against Cardinal Ritter College Prep at TBD on Friday. Cardinal Ritter College Prep is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
