Front Range Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Estes Park apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Front Range Christian's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Zach Woo, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Haedan Morton who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Woo also grabbed two steals for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Gavin Gold, who scored three points along with three steals.
Front Range Christian struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Estes Park racked up 13 assists.
It was another big night for Ryland Reetz, who scored 28 points along with nine rebounds for Estes Park. Those 28 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Phin Smith, who scored eight points along with six blocks and four steals.
Front Range Christian's loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Estes Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Front Range Christian will head out on the road to face off against Pikes Peak Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Pikes Peak Christian is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.8 points per game. Estes Park will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Weld Central at 6:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Weld Central is ranked 185th, while Estes Park is ranked 199th).
