The Phil Campbell Bobcats won the last time they faced the Winston County Yellowjackets, and things went their way on Monday too. Phil Campbell came out on top against Winston County by a score of 52-43.
Winston County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lynleigh Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds, and Emma Kate Veal who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Veal's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Phil Campbell's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Winston County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
Phil Campbell's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carbon Hill at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Winston County will be home for the holidays to greet Belgreen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belgreen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Winston County in Alabama (Belgreen is ranked 129th, while Winston County is ranked 366th).
