Winston County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lynleigh Cobb, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 18 rebounds, and Emma Kate Veal who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The contest was Veal's fourth in a row with at least ten points.
Phil Campbell's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Winston County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-10.
Phil Campbell's road trip will continue as they head out to face Carbon Hill at 4:00 p.m. on December 19th. Winston County will be home for the holidays to greet Belgreen at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Belgreen presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Winston County in Alabama (Belgreen is ranked 129th, while Winston County is ranked 366th).
