On Friday, Craig was beaten by Kake 79-36. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Craig has scored all season.
Craig's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bryant Holloway, who scored 14 points. That was a full 38.9% of Craig's points, marking the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Bazinet, who scored nine points.
Craig's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Kake, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Craig won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hydaburg at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Kake's road trip will continue as they head out to face Klawock at 3:00 p.m. on January 28th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alaska (Klawock is ranked 19th, while Kake is ranked 22nd).
