Leonardtown (Md.) received a huge boost from its defense against Great Mills (Md.), as the unit scored 17 in defeating Great Mills (Md.), 43-6.
After taking the lead on a touchdown in the first quarter, the Raiders led 31-8 at the half.
Leonardtown expanded its lead to 33 points entering the fourth quarter. LHS scored two times in the third, including once on a defensive touchdown.

Tyrone Hayward in the quarter.
Great Mills' only touchdown came on a defensive touchdown in the first quarter.
LHS went into the matchup giving up only 17.4 points per game. The six points that the Hornets ended with were right around their average of 7.1 coming into the game.
The Raiders also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 54-6.
